Miles for Monarchs!
As summer begins to fade and fall creeps into the air, the monarch butterflies we’ve enjoyed during the heat of summer begin to migrate to their overwintering grounds. Most will migrate to Mexico, and some will migrate to southern California. This is an amazing, one-of-a-kind journey made only by monarch butterflies!
From September 5th to September 12th, we invite you to celebrate – and protect – the migration by participating in Miles for Monarchs. A partnership between the Monarch Joint Venture, Pheasants Forever, and Quail Forever, Miles for Monarchs encourages you to run, walk, hike, bike, swim, or paddle to increase support for monarchs and their migration. Enjoy the last days of summer and complete miles toward the migration. As a group, we will attempt to complete the migration of a single monarch – 3,000 miles!
Register today and make your plan for your miles. With your registration, you will receive either a Miles for Monarchs t-shirt or a Miles for Monarchs neck gaiter to wear as the weather gets cooler. Sport your support for Miles for Monarchs and conserving monarchs and their migration.
